No, that's not it. I'm just not feeling well.

[Miyume should not have answered the phone but now that she has, she doesn't have the heart to just hang up. Her tone becomes very gentle and patient.]

It's sweet of you to offer but I don't think that's a good idea right now. We're supposed to be taking a break from each other, remember? Can you make it a few days without seeing me? Just until Wednesday? I'll come to your practice.

[Mirai calmly pushed down a fear that was rising and tried speaking in his usual tone - though from the way he disavowed his feelings his tongue seemed to be tying itself into knots. He guessed she had closed the door now, hadn't she?]

[Miyume sighed again, thinking of the phone call she still had to make to her mother. This was not going to be a pleasant conversation.]

[For the first time in a long time, Miyume feels like she might be able to cry. Genuine tears begin to form and trickle down her cheeks. She snaps her phone closed and puts it down on her nightstand. She can't deal with her mother tonight. Miyume just curls up on the bed, hugging her pillow, and stares at the wall.]
